Why can't you fund this project from your reserves:
We try to keep enough funds to pay all maintenance invoices for between 12 and 18 months. However we recently had to have a survey carried out on the trees in the recreation ground to ensure they were safe. Last years account were unusual as we had a festival to celebrate the 100 years since the hall was built. We also started a 200 club to try to raise additional funds. However there are numerous projects that we are working on to refurbish the kitchen replace the existing tables and chairs install and PA Sound SystemHearing loop and place additional childrens equipment in the recreation ground to keep them fit and healthy. All this takes a lot of money and our spare funds will not go very far.

We are a small community group and do not have annual accounts or it is our first year:

This tapestry will benefit the whole village. It will hang on the wall in the Village Hall and will be there in the future as an example of cohesion in the village. It will depict scenes from life in Poulshot in the Jubilee year. It has been done with the good will of a number of villagers for no cost. The grant would be for a frame for it. This would need to be sturdy and condensation proof and must be fixed strongly to the wall.

14. How will you monitor this?
It will be seen day after day by those using the Village Hall. This would not only be villagers but also those who rent the Hall from outside the village.

The Ladies Club depends solely on a small membership fee. It would take many years to pay for this frame.
